The cable is supplied as a full 300-metre length—approximately 984 feet—and is suitable for structured cabling projects in homes, offices, shops and compatible CCTV installations. Its unshielded construction contains four colour-coded twisted pairs within a round grey outer jacket. The retail packaging identifies the cable as 24AWG UTP Cat5e. The cable is supplied without fitted connectors. It can be measured, cut and terminated into compatible RJ45 connectors, keystone jacks or patch panels according to the requirements of the installation. Installation information This is unterminated bulk cable and requires cutting and termination. Do not use the complete 300m length as one Ethernet connection. Plan individual cable routes according to applicable Ethernet distance limits. Use connectors and network components compatible with Cat5e and 24AWG cable. Maintain the twisted pairs as close as possible to each termination. Avoid sharp bends, crushing, stretching and overtightened cable ties. Keep network cabling separated from mains electrical wiring. Test every completed connection with a suitable cable tester. Use indoors unless a suitable outdoor or direct-burial rating is confirmed. Important clarification This is a full 300m box of unfinished installation cable. It does not include factory-fitted RJ45 plugs and is not a ready-to-use 300m patch cable.
